TWO CHINESE ARCHAISTIC BROWN JADE CARVINGS
QING DYNASTY
One modelled as a recumbent hound, its flank decorated with C-scrolls, the other carved as a bi disc carved with stylized dragons, intersected with a hu tablet, carved to one side with Ursa Major, each with a fitted hardwood stand, 22.6cm. (4)
Provenance: the Benveniste collection, Montreal. Purchased in the 1960s and '70s.
