A CHINESE CELADON JADE BOULDER CARVING
LATE QING DYNASTY
Carved with a crane standing beside a waterfall, with lingzhi fungus and pine at the water's edge, another crane in flight above, together with a celadon jade ruyi sceptre, naturalistically carved with smaller fungi to the shaft, the head with a shou character encircled by C-scrolls, a red silk tassel, the former with a wood stand, 33.5cm max. (3)
Provenance: the Benveniste collection, Montreal. Purchased in the 1960s and '70s.
