TWO TIBETAN RITUAL HORNS, GYALING
19TH CENTURY
The oboe-like instruments decorated in relief in gilt metal with foliate designs, Buddhist emblems, dragons and birds, each cylindrical flared body with seven air holes divided by concentric bands, inlaid with glass and coloured stones, one with a suspension chain, 47cm. (2)
Provenance: the collection of Mark Dineley, and thence by family descent. Formerly in the Bellamy collection.
