A CHINESE POWDER-BLUE GLAZED BITONG

KANGXI 1662-1722

The cylindrical body decorated in gilt with an extensive mountain landscape, reserved on a mottled blue ground, the interior glazed white, the base with a paper label for Bluett London, 17.7cm dia.

Provenance: from the collection of David Ferguson Esq. Formerly in the collection of Professor D R Laurence MD, purchased from Bluett & Sons on 28th September 1992. A copy of the original invoice is available.
