A CHINESE POTTERY MODEL OF A HORSE AND RIDER
NORTHERN WEI DYNASTY 386-535 AD
The equestrian rider seated astride his steed, his hands raised to beat a drum at his side, raised on a rectangular base, with traces of pigments, 23.5cm.
Provenance: from the collection of David Ferguson Esq. Purchased from R & G McPherson Antiques on 6th July 2004. A copy of the original invoice is available.
