A CHINESE FAMILLE ROSE OVOID VASE
REPUBLIC PERIOD
Brightly enamelled with five boys playing in a fenced garden amongst rocks and bamboo, one riding a sheep, another holding a ruyi sceptre, another with a vase of millet and a kite, with three bats in flight above, all within bands of lappets and ruyi-heads, the base with a Qianlong seal mark, 24.5cm.
