A JAPANESE TWO-FOLD PAPER SCREEN ATTRIBUTED TO SAKAI HOITSU
19TH CENTURY
Decorated with shikishi (applied slips of paper) painted in ink and colour with flowers, trees and landscapes in Rimpa school style, each inscribed Hoitsu hitsu and with a red seal, on a gold ground furosaki (paper screen), 62.8cm x 185.3cm.
