A LARGE JAPANESE LACQUER TRAVELLING CHEST AND COVER, HASAMI BAKO
18TH/19TH CENTURY
The body and cover decorated with large sagittaria trifolia gold lacquer mon for the Mizuno clan on a nashiji ground, the inside lined with gold paper, with elaborate gilt copper floral-etched fittings, 36.8cm x 45cm x 62cm. (2)
