A George II mahogany cased compass by Thomas Wright, with a printed dial inscribed 'Tho Wright Londini Fecit', with blued steel hands and with a brass outer register, with a sliding lid, 11cm square.
Thomas Wright, Mathematician, Instrument Maker and Toyman was working between 1718-1747 at The Orrery and Globe, Fleet Street, London.
