Description

A large Delftware dish, illustrating the balloon ascent of Vincenzo Lunadi, as it rises above buildings and trees, c.1785. Some good restoration. 35.5cm. Cf. M. Archer, Delftware, p124 for a similar example in the Victoria and Albert Museum.
