A Victorian Scottish novelty silver thistle vinaigrette,
by A.F, Edinburgh 1881, retailed by Mackay and Chisolm, also stamped with a design lozenge for 2 April 1881,
the thistle with a hinged cover engraved with thistles and initials, the interior with a pierced silver-gilt grille, and with a chain and ring attachment, length 5.4cm, approx. weight 0.8oz.
