Description
An Italian maiolica albarello mid 18th century, the dumbell form titled in manganese script with 'U. Alabastrium', between bands of stylized blue foliage, 17.8cm.
This ointment made from powdered alabaster, chamomile flowers and rose petals was used as an emollient.
