A set of fifty-three French engraved playing cards, the set decorated with coats of arms, kings and queens and other figures, probably late 17th century, together with twelve hand-coloured engraved French playing cards, decorated with famous historical figures including: Marguerite De Valois, François 1, Richelieu, early 19th century, a scorecard inscribed 'PAIEMENS AU BOSTON' with the rules, late 18th / early 19th century and a boxed set of German oval playing cards by A. Twietmeyer, the lid inscribed 'NEUE OVALE SALON SPIELKARTEN, A. TWIETMEYER, LEIPZIG' late 19th century. (A lot)
