A George V carved and painted wood half block salmon by Hardy Brothers, mounted on an oak plaque and with an applied brass plaque inscribed 'SALMON CAUGHT ON THE RIVER WYE SEPT 25TH 1915 WEIGHT 34LBS GIRTH 221/2" LENGTH 51" BY CAPT COUNT ROBERT METAXA', with an inset ivorine plaque inscribed 'HARDY BROTHERS (ALNWICK) LTD. 61 PALL MALL, LONDON, S.W., EDINBURGH, MANCHESTER, MANUFACTORY, ALNWICK', 39.6 x 141cm.

Captain Frederick Robert Wyndham Metaxa of The Royal Scots Fusiliers who died as a result of wounds received in South Africa January 18th 1918 aged 39.
