Description

A pair of Victorian silver wine coasters,

by Charles and George Fox, London 1848,

circular form, pierced and engraved with scrollwork and birds, wavy-edge gadroon border, turned wooden bases, engraved with a crest and inscribed 'T.C to I.W.C AMICITIAE VIRTUTISQUE ERGO' and diameter 14cm. (2)

The crest is that of Carson, Fountaine, Oliphant and Packington.
