A Victorian silver-gilt 'castle-top' vinaigrette, Windsor Castle,
by Joseph Willmore, Birmingham 1838,
rectangular form, the hinged cover with a raised view of the Castle, the interior with a silver-gilt pierced and engraved foliate scroll grille, foliate scroll borders, the sides and base with engine-turned tartan decoration, the base with an inscribed cartouche, 'J.S to M.A.R', length 4.3cm, approx. weight 1.oz.
