A Victorian silver engraved vinaigrette, Crystal Palace,
by Thomas Dones, Birmingham 1848,
rectangular form, the hinged cover with an engraved scene of Crystal Palace, the interior with a silver-gilt pierced and engraved foliate scroll grille, scroll borders, the sides and base with engraved foliate scroll decoration, the base with a cartouche, inscribed 'H.C from M.W', length 3.5cm, approx. weight 0.5oz.
