λA 19th century Scottish silver-mounted snuff mull,
unmarked, circa 1848,
conventional form, the hinged cover with thistle decoration and set with a Cairngorm, the front applied with a foliate scroll cartouche inscribed 'To Mr. W.B Seal from a few of his Leith friends, 1848', with four hanging chains with an ivory gavel, a spoon, a rake, a spike and an animal foot, length 10.5cm. length 9.5cm.
