A 19th presentation pipe, the meerschaum bowl to an ivory stem with gilt mounts with amber beads and mouthpiece, the central plaque inscribed 'from Mr John Magee to John Wylie Esq, Algiers, February 1870', 20in (51cm) l, in fitted leather case. Provenance: The Late Caroline, Lady Hobart formerly the Duchess of Leeds.
