A CHINESE RED CINNABAR LACQUER PEACH-SHAPED BOX AND COVER
QIANLONG 1736-95
The domed cover carved in shallow relief with an oviform cartouche depicting a fruiting peach tree emerging from rocks above swirling waves, all within a border of bamboo and prunus, encircled by a panel of peach, pomegranate and finger citron, sandou, with three bats in flight and flowering peony, all reserved on a cell diaper ground, 18cm.
