Description

A RARE CHINESE GILT BRONZE COURT OFFICIAL'S SEAL

DATED 1749

Incised with seal script and Manchu characters to the top and base with the mark Xing bu jiang xi qing shi si yin, li bu zao, the right-hand edge incised with the dated inscription Qian long shi si nian wu yue ri zao (made in the fourteenth year of Qianlong, corresponding to 1749), the left-hand edge incised with the inscription Qian zi yi qian ba bai liu shi jiu hao, (manufactured in the Qian group, no.1869), 7.9cm.
