A CHINESE FAMILLE VERTE DOUBLE-SIDED TILE
KANGXI 1662-1722
The rectangular tile painted to one side with a scene depicting the Zhua zhou ceremony, with ladies surrounding a small boy before an altar selecting auspicious objects on his first birthday, the other with a flowering pomegranate branch, mounted in a later hardwood frame as a table screen, 23cm x 27.2cm.
