A RARE CHINESE BLUE AND WHITE OVOID VASE

JIAJING SIX CHARACTER MARK AND OF THE PERIOD 1522-1566

The body decorated with six theatrical figures divided by pine, rockwork, bamboo and plantain, the shoulder and foot with a formal band of scrolling lotus, the rim with further scrolls, 20.5cm.

Provenance: previously in a Japanese private collection.
