*A CHINESE LONGQUAN CELADON MODEL OF GUANYIN

EARLY MING DYNASTY

Seated on a tall rocky plinth, her robes adorned with elaborate medallions and with a tall headdress depicting a model of Buddha, a vase to her left and a bird perched to her right, her face and extremities left unglazed to reveal the reddish biscuit, 28.5cm.

Provenance: formerly in an American private collection, formed c.1960s-70s.
