A CHINESE ARCHAISTIC BROWN STEATITE CONG
IN LIANGZHU CULTURE STYLE
Of tapering square-section form, carved in shallow relief to the exterior with sectional designs containing circular motifs, the carved surface details possibly added later, the stone with russet and cream mottling, 33cm.
Provenance: purchased from Cathay Antiques, London in 1974.
