A RARE CHINESE SOAPSTONE SQUARE SECTION FLASK

EARLY QING DYNASTY

Two sides carved in relief with figures of young women in gardens, one with a fan, the other carrying a lantern, the other two faces carved with birds, flowering and fruiting branches, the details picked out in blue, green, red, black and gold, all on a ground finely incised with waves, scrolls, flowers and auspicious things, remains of a paper label probably for Antiquar Gesellschaft ZurichI, 19.5cm.
