Balthazar Nebost (fl.1730-1770) is best known for his charming and somewhat naïve views of Hartwell House, Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal. This view of Holyrood House in Edinburgh, with the old town in the distance, shares a number of the characteristics of Nebost's work.
