A collection of scientific instruments, including: an early 19th century Culpepper type lacquered brass microscope by W & J Gilbert, London, in a mahogany case and with a base drawer fitted with lenses and slides, a rare 18th century gilt metal and ivory girdle spinning wheel, a Victorian brass microscope by Newton & Co., a Wye type telescope / theodolite measuring instrument with spirit level on an open frame base, a cased brass circular protractor by Davis & Son, Derby, an early 19th century brass travelling theodolite inscribed 'Robinson 38 Devonshire Street, Portland Place, LONDON', a Newton & Co. microscope case and a metronome, 60.4cm high (max).
