Description

λ A late 19th century Russian marine chronometer, the two day reverse fusee movement with spring detent escapement and Earnshaw patent balance, stamped '5379' the serial number possibly relating to Victor Kullberg, with a silvered dial with Roman numerals and gold hands and subsidiary seconds and state of wind dials, inscribed 'A. ERICSSON St. Petersburg' and 'No. 91', on a brass gimbal and in a mahogany three section box with hinged lid, with ivory plaque inscribed '91' and with brass side carrying handles, 18.5cm high, 18.5cm square.
