λ A French rosewood and marquetry work table, with gilt brass mounts, the hinged top with a bird's eye maple panel inlaid with various woods with a pair of birds perched on a branch in a rocky and watery landscape in the Japanese style, the interior with four divisions and a mirror, the frieze inlaid with a similar panel with a turtle and a bird, on fluted tapering legs united by an 'X' stretcher, late 19th century, 73cm high, 50cm wide, 35.5cm deep.
