signed J. M. Riding,
shaped rectangular form, with a central goddess and two ladies kneeling at her feet, above two swans and 'Northern Photographic Exhibition, Liverpool 1911, H.C. Messer', on a wooden plaque, height 31.5cm.
Horace Charles Messer (born 1856) was a photographer, who lived at 29 Castle Street in Salisbury.
