Description

A dry-bodied stoneware campana vase of naval interest early 19th century, the squat globular body applied with Britannia and an angel beside a shield inscribed for Howe and Nelson, the reverse with a maiden and winged Cupid, in white on a dark brown ground, the wide flared neck with a band of stiff fern leaves, restoration to the neck, 19cm.
