A Staffordshire pearlware Toby jug c.1780, seated with an upright barrel between his feet, a foaming jug of ale on his left knee and his clay pipe resting by his right side, wearing a sponged blue coat over an ochre waistcoat and black breeches, a little restoration to his hat, 25.3cm.
