Description
A rare delftware colander bowl c.1740-60, unusually decorated in red, green and blue with birds in flight and perched on holey rockwork among flowering branches, the concave top pierced with four concentric rings of holes around a larger central aperture, some chipping, 22.3cm dia.
Polychrome decoration on this type of object is extremely unusual.
