Signed with initials and dated 1891, also signed and titled on a label verso

H.M.S. Ganges was an accommodation vessel for the Royal Navy and was moored off Falmouth when this was painted. In 1899 she was refitted in Devonport and moved to Harwich and in 1904 she was moved to Shotley off the Suffolk coast
