An India General Service Medal 1854-95 to Acting Bombardier John Newlands, Northern Division Royal Artillery, 3 clasps: Burma 1885-7, Sikkim 1888, Samana 1891 (49902 Actg Bombdr J. Newlands No 9 By 1st Bde N Dn R.A.), engraved. Good very fine or better.
Recipient confirmed on the rolls for these campaigns. Formerly with 9/1 Northern Division R.A.; latterly with No 3 Mountain Battery. Clasps with irregular looking rivets, perhaps consistent with separate issue of each.
