A Turkish sword (yataghan), characteristic forward curving blade 23.5 in. with narrow back fuller, discrete koftgari type decoration of a roundel to one side and a scrolling panel involving Arabic text to the other, rhino horn hilt with large flaring terminal, brass repousse embellishment covering the grip frame and forming a collar that extends over part of the blade, part scabbard comprising wooden liner and copper locket, 19th Century.
