A British .577 1853 pattern artillery carbine, 2nd model of 1858, 24 in. barrel with correct double leaf back sight, lock marked for Enfield and dated 1862, sold-out-of service mark to the barrel, stamped roundel to the butt, steel jag head ramrod.
