A 40 bore Japanese matchlock musket (tanegashima), sighted barrel 41 in. with moulded longitudinal ridges and tulip shaped muzzel, gilt inlaid decoration including a warrior on horseback, brass snap action lock, full stock with characteristic lobed butt, brass tipped ramrod.
