Description
A 16th century Dutch dated bronze mortar, the rim inscribed 'MAURITIV' and with 'M' flanked by rosettes and the date '1577', the body with a winged cherub mask flanked by foliage and with a horseshoe over an anvil, with a rope-twist handle, 9cm high, 13cm wide.
