A 19th century mahogany artist's paint box by Rowney & Co., the hinged lid with a printed trade label inscribed 'G. ROWNEY & Co. Superfine Oil & Water Colour Preparers, GENUINE BLACK LEAD & HAIR PENCIL MANUFACTURERS, TO THEIR MAJESTIES AND THE PRINCIPAL ARTISTS, 51, Rathbone Place, LONDON.', above a fitted interior with watercolour blocks, with divisions and a base drawer with a sunken brass handle, 24cm wide, together with another mahogany artist's paint box, the interior fitted with a ceramic palette, paint blocks and a glass mixing bowl, 26.6cm wide.
