Description

A late 19th century French ormolu and porcelain mounted clock garniture, the eight day movement striking on a bell, the backplate with a medaille d'honneur pastille and also stamped '62682' with a monogram 'MR', the porcelain dial with Roman numerals and painted with birds and flowers, inscribed 'MIROY-REQUIER & Cie, PARIS', the case in Louis XVI style with jewelled bleu celeste plaques painted with an amorous couple, a portrait of a lady and flowers, with laurel swags and cornucopiae, 48.5cm high, 40cm wide together with a pair of associated gilt spelter ewers, stamped 'P.H. MOUREY'. (3)
