A 19th century Mauchline Ware sycamore and pen work snuff box,
by J Cowan, Tarbolton,
the cover decorated with a scene of a woman with tartan shawl cowering by a fluted pillar, entitled 'Woe Burn's Lord Gregory,' the plain base with convex sides, length 7.8cm.
The scene is from Robert Burns' poem Lord Gregory (1793).
