A 19th century Mauchline Ware root and pen work table snuff box,
apparently unmarked,
the oval cover with a depiction of a Highland soldier at the mouth of a cave with the motto 'We are this day in Arms for a Broken Covenant, and a Persecuted Kirk', the sides with thistle decoration, length 9cm.
