A Chantilly circular snuff box,
c.1735, painted in the Kakiemon palette with the Squirrel and Vine pattern around the side, the cover with a long-tailed phoenix, the base with bright flying insects, gilt metal mounts with a large chased section beneath the hinge, 6.3cm.
