A Victorian silver engraved vinaigrette, Elgin Cathedral,

by Nathaniel Mills, Birmingham 1843,

rounded shaped rectangular form, the hinged cover with an engraved scene of the ruins of the Cathedral, the interior with a silver-gilt pierced and engraved foliate scroll grille, the sides and base with engine-turned decoration, the base with a vacant cartouche, length 5.3cm, approx. weight 0.8oz.
