Description
A late 18th century silver-mounted cowrie shell snuff box,
unmarked, circa 1780-1790,
oval form, the hinged cover with a crest and monogram within foliate mantling, length 8.8cm.
The crest is that for Hanning, Harman, Hunt, Hutton and other families.
Purchased in 1958 from Cameo Corner, for £5.
