A LARGE AND IMPOSING PAIR OF CHINESE FAMILLE VERTE BUDDHIST LION DOGS

KANGXI 1662-1722

Powerfully modelled with their heads turned sideways and looking down, the female with her puppy climbing up her front paw, the male with an articulated brocade ball, each raised on a high rectangular plinth and decorated with green, yellow and aubergine enamels on a biscuit porcelain ground, 33cm.
