A GOOD CHINESE BAMBOO BITONG

EARLY QING DYNASTY

Intricately carved in high relief and pierced with figures drinking tea, playing a flute and engaged in daily life amidst sampans beneath rocks from which pine trees and maples grow, the slightly tapering cylindrical body raised on three stump feet, 15.7cm.
