A LARGE PAIR OF CHINESE POTTERY EARTH SPIRITS
TANG DYNASTY 618-907 AD
One with anthropomorphic features, seated with his front legs extended and resting on his haunches, the other a mythical beast baring its teeth and with curved horns also resting on its haunches, both with cloven feet, short wings and flames rising from their heads, each raised on a high pierced base, with traces of earth pigments, 88cm.
